Each Submission is $275 for AIA Members, (Entry includes two tickets for the awards reception on October 25)
$450 for Non-AIA Members (Entry includes two tickets for the awards reception on October 25)
additional registrations are $150 for AIA Members, $250 for non-members
The submitting firm must have an active office and be registered to perform services in the state of Ohio, and have a local office in the AIA Dayton area or the project location must be within the AIA Dayton area. If the submitting firm is not the sole author of the design, all participants substantially contributing to the design of the project must be given credit, and the submitting firm’s role must be clearly defined. Students may submit projects for awards if sponsored by an AIA Dayton member firm. Projects which have won AIA Dayton Design Awards in the past may not be re-submitted.
Entries may be in one of 5 categories (awards may not be given in all categories):
1. Newly completed buildings, additions, remodelings, renovations, restorations
2. Interior projects
3. Urban design or planning projects/studies
4. Unbuilt projects
5. High performance design projects
Entries must be completed since January 1, 2012, regardless of project size, geographical location, budget, style or building type. Unbuilt projects include a design that will never be executed (i.e. a contest entry that was not chosen).

The submission process is entirely digital. All entry forms, project information, and file uploads will be handled through the online submissions site.
After creating an entry application, you may begin working on your forms and uploading the required files. You may save your work as you go and return to the site as often as needed, but all submission materials and entry fee payments must be completed and submitted by the submission deadline. Once an entry is completed for a particular project, that entire project submission may then be submitted to another chapter awards program without any key re-entry or re-uploads. Simply check the box "I Want to Submit This Submission to Another Category" when you are ready to finalize your submission on the last page of the submission forms.

To complete your submission, you must:
- Complete the SUBMISSION FORM in the awards submission portal by September 2, 11:59 pm EDT
- Upload the PROJECT PDF, PRESENTATION PDF and IMAGE FILES to the submission portal and finalize by Friday, September 9, 11:59 pm EDT
- Make full payment of ENTRY FEES within submission portal (once project is finalized) or by mail to be received by Friday, September 9, 11:59 pm EDT
